Classroom Management
I believe classroom management plays one of the most important roles in students' educations. Valuing our learners' input on procedures is something that should be focused on within our classroom management plans. With student safety being the main focus of our non-negotiable rules, the rest of the procedures are left to both myself and the students to create or adapt. As a team we will discuss what behavior expectations are for the classroom to provide students with an ownership feeling over how the classroom operates. This also leads students to being more mindful of expectations due to their assistance in their creation. I have yet to see the same student or class twice, expecting the same procedures to be effective every year doesn't allow learners' the opportunity to be in their best environment. Allowing student input and compromising on procedures creates a unique environment that is best suited to the groups needs every year.
